Underwater Wireless Optical Communication with High Modulation Level Based Stream Cipher

Abstract

We demonstrate QAM-based stream cipher (QSC) for underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC) employing orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) Modulation. Experimental results show Q performance using QSC has only 1dB penalty compared to QPSK without encryption.
