Programmable orbital angular momentum(OAM) mode multiplexer based on multi-plane light conversion(MPLC)

Abstract

We proposed and demonstrated a MPLC based programmable OAM mode multiplexing method. By using 5 and 7 phase planes, 3 and 4 OAM modes were multiplexed with average mode-purity of 90% and crosstalk below -24dB.
