Abstract

The modified eigenvector basis expansion-based (EBE) phase noise suppression method is introduced to coherent Nyquist wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network (Nyquist-WDM-PON) systems. The numerical results show that the proposed method with the optimal dimension of eigenvector bases outperforms the orthogonal basis expansion-based (OBE) method and common phase error (CPE).
