Highly RIU-Sensitive Plasmonic Metal-Dielectric-Metal Device with Two Side-Coupled Fano Cavities

Abstract

We propose a compact plasmonic device comprising a metal-dielectric-metal waveguide with two side-coupled rectangular cavities. These two Fano resonances can be tuned independently and achieve a high sensitivity of 1295 nm/RIU at same resonant wavelengths.
