Femtosecond direct writing of intergrated Mach-Zehnder interferometer with Bragg grating for curvature-temperature discrimination

Abstract

An all-in-single-mode-fiber sensor consisting of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer and a Bragg grating fabricated by femtosecond laser is demonstrated for directional curvature and temperature sensing. The sensor exhibits a large linear response range for curvature measurement.
