Abstract

As internet traffic continues to grow in volume and diversity, it is important and challenging to exploit the full potential of the flexibility of the ROADMs. In this study, we propose a traffic grooming strategy with virtual auxiliary graph to optimize the configuration of CD-ROADMs, while considering both of the inter-node spectrum contention and the intra-node TP contention in flex-grid optical networks.
