(8+1) Pump-gain Integrated Functional Fiber Oscillator

Abstract

We demonstrated an (8+1)-type pump-gain integrated functional fiber oscillator counter-pumped by commercial laser diodes. By mutually splicing any two forward pump-fibers and therefore recycling residual pump, optical-to-optical efficiency was improved by 6.4% at multi-hundreds level
