Abstract

A Tris (4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin) ruthenium(II) dichloride complex as a fluorescent indicator for the fabrication of dissolved oxygen-sensing film was produced. The optimum excitation wavelength was found to be 450nm with the Excitation-Emission-Matrix Spectra and absorbance of the sensing film. The concentration of the indicator that produces the maximum fluorescence intensity of the sensing film is determined by experiments to be 0.70mg/ml. Finally, according to the experimental results, the dissolved oxygen response curve was fitted by the Stern-Volmer equation. The curve of dissolved oxygen showed that the ratio of fluorescence intensity and dissolved oxygen concentration had a good linear relationship.
