A photonic approach for LFM bandwidth broadening based on sub-chirp signal splicing

Abstract

A photonic scheme based on sub-chirp signal splicing is proposed to achieve linear frequency modulated signal bandwidth broadening. Bandwidth broadening factor of 2 and time bandwidth product multiplication factor of 4 are achieved through experiment.
