Abstract

We demonstrate an on-chip all-optical wavelength conversion (AOWC) of 20 Gbit/s 4-level pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM-4) signal using integrated SOA-based turbo-switch, with ~ 2 dB power penalty at symbol error rate (SER) of 1×10-3.
