Abstract

Weakly-coupled MDM transmission supporting 7 independent modes is experimentally demonstrated over 200-m conventional multimode fiber (MMF), enabled by cascaded mode-selective couplers and wavelength interleaving schemes. 10-Gb/s OOK signals and simple direct detection are employed.
