Research on free-space optical communication performance under various weather conditions

Abstract

In this paper, we describe the theoretical loss model and Monte Carlo simulation model of the free-space optical (FSO) communication channel. The influence of transmission distance on path loss and bit error rate is analyzed by two models under different weather conditions.
