Low Timing-Jitter and Broadband 10 GHz Optical Comb Generation Based on a Phase Locked Optoelectronic Oscillator

Abstract

A phase-locked optoelectronic oscillator is proposed to realize low timing-jitter 10GHz optical comb. Over 1-s time scale, the timing-jitter is suppressed by a factor of 844 from 179.5ps to 212.6fs when compared with free-running system.
