Low power, Non-bleaching Cytoskeleton STED Imaging by Depleting Upconverting Luminescence

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Upconversion nanoparticles, which do not suffer from the photophysical artifacts limiting fluorescent molecules, offer an exciting opportunity for biological super-resolution imaging. We develop an efficient STED mechanism using lanthanide upconversion nanoparticles, enabling cytoskeleton nanoscopic imaging.
