Meta-gratings with near-unitary transmission or diffraction

Abstract

We show that, a meta-grating composed of subwavelength metallic slit array embedded in an asymmetric dielectric environment can exhibit either near-unitary resonant transmission or diffraction, depending on the incident angle.
