Abstract
A 3-component fiber optic ocean bottom magnetometer (FOOBM) based on fiber laser sensing is proposed. The principles of the fiber laser magnetometer (FLM), the FOOBM and the interrogation system are presented. A filed test is carried out and the results show that the FOOBM is available to work in the ocean.
