Abstract
We propose and demonstrate the optical frequency comb generation using the dual-mode square microlaser as a seeding source. Nonlinear effects including four-wave-mixing and stimulated Brillouin scattering are utilized to broaden the comb spectrum. With the Brillouin loop, backscattering is enhanced and the pump wave linewidth is compressed, which raises the four-wave-mixing efficiency and leads to a wider comb bandwidth than the result without Brillouin cavity. A frequency comb with 130 nm range and 76.3 GHz repetition rate is achieved.
