Optical Ring Resonator Biosensor for Small Molecule Detection

Abstract

We demonstrate a highly-sensitive SOI biosensor based on single ring with shallow etched grating coupler for detecting small molecule. To improve the sensitivity, the waveguide were designed for TM mode. The sensitivity is 0.061nm/ppm.
