Abstract

We experimentally demonstrated a distributed fiber sensor based on the hybrid Brillouin optical correlation-domain/time-domain analysis (BOCDA/BOTDA) employing noise-based phase modulation (PM). ~23.8 cm spatial-resolution along ~198 m polarization-maintaining fiber (PMF) was achieved.
