Measurement of Mode Coupling in Six-Mode Fiber for Mode-Division Multiplexing System

Abstract

We demonstrate the nondestructive measurement of mode coupling along 6-mode fiber using experimental setup with structure of a mode transverter, a mode demultiplexer and an FMF circulator. The distributions of mode coupling in 6-mode fiber between modes are successfully measured.
