Abstract

We systematically study the SHG from single semiconductor nanowires and noble metal/semiconductor hybrid nanostructures. Here we present our recent works on a special origin of SHG (surface SHG) observed in ZnTe nanowires, the enhancement of SHG in Al/ZnS hybrid nanowire. Also, we discuss our recent works about the precise detection of the crystallographic orientations and the lattice distortion in a single nanowire by SHG microscopy.
