Abstract

We make a specific analysis about the transmission crosstalk in elastic optical networks with multi-core fibers. Based on the proposed concept of spare spectrum availability (SSA), a crosstalk-aware routing, spectrum, and core assignment (RSCA) algorithm is presented to improve the spectrum resource utilization and reduce blocking.
