Ring-assisted 7-LP-mode Fiber with Ultra-low Inter-mode Crosstalk

Abstract

We propose novel ring-assisted 7-LP-mode fiber with ultra-low inter-mode crosstalk without obvious degradation on other characteristics by improving the minimum value of ∆neff for 70%. We experimentally verified feasibility of our method in 4-LP-mode fiber.
