A Novel Toggle-rate based Energy-Efficient Scheme for Real-time IMDD OFDM-PON

Abstract

An energy-efficient scheme for real-time OFDM-PON is realized through controlling the toggle-rate of ONU by using time-domain identification. Experimental results show that 25.1% dynamic power in ONU can be saved compared to the conventional configurations.
