FPGA Implementation of Carrier Recovery Algorithm for QPSK Coherent Optical Communication Systems

Abstract

Real-time carrier recovery of QPSK signals with symbol rate above 10GBaud is realized using a single FPGA chip. Experiments show that the hardware performance is close to that of the off-line algorithm.
