Energy and Spectral Efficiencies Analysis in OTN Switching WDM MLR Networks

Abstract

Energy and spectral efficiencies are analyzed by introducing OTN switching in WDM MLR networks for both unprotected and dedicated protected 1+1 scenarios. Substantial improvements can be achieved compared with conventional WDM architectures.
