Transmitter IQ Mismatch Compensation Based on Second Order Moment Estimation for Coherent Optical M-QAM System

Abstract

This paper presents a pilot-aided method to compensate the transmitter IQ mismatch in coherent optical 4/16-QAM system. The IQ unbalanced amplitude and phase parameters are extracted by employing a second order moment estimation algorithm.
