An AWG-based synchronized multichannel mode-locked laser

Abstract

A low-cost synchronized multichannel AWG based mode-locked semiconductor laser is reported. The fundamentally mode-locked laser demonstrates multichannel synchronous mode-locking operation at a repetition frequency of 4 GHz under both passive mode-locking and hybrid mode-locking condition.
