Mode-Interleaving Method with Improved Transmission Reach for MDL-Impaired MDM Systems

Abstract

Mode-interleaving method is proposed to mitigate the MDL impact on MDM transmission by averaging performances of all spatial channels. Simulation shows that the proposed method can significantly improves transmission reach and introduces negligible DSP complexity.
