Integrated Microdisk Resonator for Simultaneous Refractive Index and Temperature Measurement Using Two Whispering-gallery Modes

Abstract

We propose and investigate an integrated microdisk resonator with two whispering-gallery modes. The simulation results show that refractive index and temperature can be measured simultaneously by monitoring the wavelength shifts of the two whispering-gallery modes.
