Abstract

A modified Mach-Zehnder interferometer phase sensitive amplifier (MZI-PSA) configuration is proposed and demonstrated. Simulation results show MZI-PSA can obtain higher gain, reduce BER to 8.58×10−8, and reduce EVM to 18.63%, compared with the traditional FWM-PSA.
