Abstract

Using bi-directional phase modulation, an efficient intermodulation distortion (IMD) suppression approach is applied on phase-modulation microwave photonic link (PM-MPL). IMD3 is reduced by 28.6 dB experimentally, compared with traditional single sideband PM-MPL.
