Abstract

Perfluorohexane (PFH) and gold nanorods (AuNRs) loaded nanoparticles (PAnP) were synthesized for photoacoustic therapy. Under pulsed laser irradiation, the PFH vaporization can facilitate bubble implosion and shockwave generation that induced apoptosis of cancer cells efficiently.
