Noise Tolerance in Modulation Format Conversion from QPSK to BPSK Using Four-Wave-Mixing in Highly Nonlinear Fiber

Abstract

Conversion between different modulation formats is one of key processing functions for flexible networking. We have proposed the conversion from QPSK to BPSK using FWM and interference. The noise tolerance is discussed using numerical simulation.
