Abstract

A novel optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) monitoring method in presence of fiber nonlinearities optical transmission system is proposed, which based on the cross-correlation function between two symbols of the signal. The results show that this technique can monitor the OSNR of 112-Gb/s PM-QPSK signals with accuracy of 0.86 dB
