Highly coherent supercontinuum generation in AlGaAs-on-insulator waveguide at telecommunication wavelength

Abstract

We propose a high refractive index contrast AlGaAs-on-insulator waveguide. The simulation results show that highly coherent supercontinuum over the -50 dB bandwidth of 1350 nm can be generated when the pump wavelength is 1550 nm.
