Modeling of Brillouin optical time domain analysis with arbitrarily modulated pump

Abstract

This paper derives a novel model to describe the Brillouin interaction in Brillouin optical time domain analysis with arbitrarily modulated pump. Then the Brillouin gain spectra of phase-shift pulse and Brillouin echo are calculated and analyzed.
