Silicon Photonic MEMS Switch: A New Path to High Port Count Switches

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Large-scale integrated photonic switches (64x64) have been realized by combining silicon photonics with efficient MEMS switching mechanisms. These switches are based on passive crossbar architecture, which is fundamentally more scalable than other switches. Article not available.
