Abstract

We numerically optimise in-span signal power asymmetry in advanced Raman amplification schemes, reaching 3% over 62 km SMF, and evaluate its impact on the performance of systems using mid-link OPC using 7×15 16QAM Nyquist-spaced WDM-PDM.
