Abstract

This paper investigates lightpath provisioning with fragmentation-aware routing and spectrum assignment across multiple software-defined elastic optical network (SD-EON) domains, with a hierarchical controller framework. The system design is implemented and demonstrated in a multi-national SD-EON control plane testbed.
