Surface Plasmon Enhanced Microscopy Using Periodic and Aperiodic Nanostructures for Super-resolved Cell Imaging

Abstract

We investigate surface plasmon enhanced microscopy using periodic nanohole apertures and nanoislands. The measured resolution was estimated to be on the order of 20 nm on nanoapeture arrays and 135 nm on random nanoislands.
