Design of Easy-Fabricated Low-Loss Strip-to-Slot Waveguide Mode Converter

Abstract

A compact strip-to-slot waveguide mode converter is proposed for the purpose of easy fabrication, whose minimum dimension is as large as 100 nm. A >99% conversion efficiency is achieved with conversion length of <20 μm.
