A novel UWB-over-fiber upstream transmission scheme in WDM-PON network

Abstract

We proposed a novel UWB-over-fiber upstream transmission scheme using a directly-modulated RSOA in a WDM-PON network. Due to nonlinear modulation response of the RSOA, optical UWB monocycle and doublet signal can be conveniently obtained.
