Optical Delay Line based on Waveguide Mode Multiplexing

Abstract

We propose a novel optical delay line structure based on Bragg gratings-assisted waveguide mode multiplexing. Proof-of-concept simulations show that optical delay is increased by about three times using three waveguide modes.
