Store Wait Forward: a Storage-based Routing Algorithm for Optical Networks

Abstract

Equipping network nodes with storage capacity, a routing algorithm named Store Wait Forward (SWF) is proposed in this paper for circuit switched optical networks. The benefit of reduced blocking rate is illustrated through simulation results.
