Abstract

We report the metallically confined hybrid III-V/Si Fabry-Pérot (FP) lasers based on adhesive bonding. Continuous-wave (CW) lasing is achieved with a threshold current density of 1.59 kA/cm2 for the hybrid laser with the length of 180 μm and the width of 7 μm.
