Abstract

Er3+-doped LiYF4 upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) excited by 1550nm laser can achieve deeper imaging depth than Yb3+/Tm3+-doped NaYbF4 UCNPs excited by 980nm laser. Such UCNPs (LiYF4 : Er3+) have great potentials for deep-tissue in vivo bioimaging.
