Performance of a Dual-Polarization Fiber Laser Based Accelerometer with a Software Phase Lock Loop

Abstract

A fiber-optic accelerometer based on a dual-polarization fiber grating laser is demonstrated and its performance is measured through demodulation by a software phase lock loop, which achieves a minimum detectable acceleration of 42.2 μg.
