All-Optical Label Swapping for 400G Optical Flow Switched Metro and Inter-Datacenter Networks using OpenFlow-based SDN Control

Abstract

We demonstrate SDN-controlled OpenFlow1.0-based all-optical label swapping for optical flow switched metro/inter-datacenter networks. Negligible penalty is confirmed for dual-carrier 400-Gb/s payload and 10GbE optical labels, with label and payload jointly occupying <100-GHz spacing.
