High Power Photonic Crystal Fiber Lasers and Their Applications

Abstract

A brief review of recent work on high power femtosecond fiber laser oscillator, amplifier and their applications is presented. The linear and nonlinear propagation of femtosecond laser in the photonic crystal fiber are demonstrated. These results show that the performance of femtosecond lasers based on the photonic crystal fibers is improved greatly.
